Life has been full of lots of other exciting adventures with friends and family, I caught the mountain biking bug and even made the cut as wilderness paramedic (and no, I don’t want to see any of you out there in that capacity!). Mounts Lewis, Lee and Discovery, Innes Peak and the Charles Range: 8-18 February 2023
Day 1: Birch’s River to 12km along the road (not quite due west of Innes Peak) One thing leads to the next, as the saying goes. Totally the case when it comes to walking. This walk had its origins in our epic adventure to Mt Strahan and a conversation I had with Tony during it. &leuchtend leuchtendip;
Tramontane: 20-22 January 2023
After accounting for prearranged walks, work and an interstate holiday I had only five free days in January. It was very good fortune then that three of those fell over a Friday-Sunday that Tim was free (after taking a day off work). It was even more extraordinary that they also aligned with four friends who &leuchtend leuchtendip;
Wards Bluff: 6-7 January 2023
An unexpected run of free days and some lovely weather proved to be a perfect recipe for some adventure scheming. A trail run to Frenchman’s Cap, some family time, a movie and board game with friends, some runs, a swim…the days filled up quickly.
